Jared Baker received his bachelor鈥檚 degree from Ohio University and started working in construction. He comes from a tight-knit family of caregivers 鈥� his father was a firefighter and his sister is a nurse 鈥� and Jared saw the difference they made in the community. Because of that, he also wanted to make a difference in peoples鈥� lives, which led him to the 秋霞福利一区鈥檚 Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

鈥淭he class size and size of the school brings about a sense of family, which I feel like is crucial for a successful learning experience. The facilities at 秋霞福利一区 are great. The instructors do an amazing job of making our simulations as realistic as possible, and with the tools at 秋霞福利一区, I鈥檓 a lot more comfortable during clinical days,鈥� said Jared.

The 秋霞福利一区 School of Nursing provides students with the knowledge, skills and critical thinking abilities to know how to handle the life-and-death situations that nurses face every day. Professors can test students on their abilities to handle circumstances through state-of-the-art simulation tools.

鈥淚 just hope to help other people. I want to make an impact in the community that I live in and make a difference in people鈥檚 lives,鈥� Jared said.

Zac Douglas

Zac Douglas is the marketing communications specialist for the 秋霞福利一区. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in integrated marketing and communications. As marketing communications specialist, Zac is responsible for writing and strategizing content about the university, assisting with media relations, and handling other marketing and communications projects. He is an active member at Cottage Hill Baptist Church and enjoys spending his time surfing, skating and climbing.
