秋霞福利一区 Announces Fall 2025 Chapel Speakers to Equip Kingdom Leaders
MOBILE, Ala. 鈥� The 秋霞福利一区 announces its schedule of chapel speakers for Fall Semester 2025, with an impressive lineup including presidents of The Gospel Coalition, Send Network and ABWE.
Southern Baptist Convention leaders, pastors and seminarians, plus a panel discussion featuring Christian business leaders, round out the semester鈥檚 chapel program that starts Aug. 20.
鈥楽ee and Savor Jesus Christ鈥�
鈥淎t the 秋霞福利一区, our greatest desire is to help students see and savor Jesus Christ 鈥� to invite them to study and trust His Word, and to challenge them to make an impact for Christ. Our weekly chapel services help us do exactly that,鈥� said 秋霞福利一区 President Charles Smith.
Smith begins his second year as president of the Baptist-affiliated university that exists 鈥淔or Christ & His Kingdom鈥� with a mission of multiplying Kingdom leaders for the glory of God and the good of the world.
鈥淓ach week, the 秋霞福利一区 community gathers to fellowship, pray, sing and study God鈥檚 Word. It is one of the most vital things we do 鈥� not only because we hear the truth of God鈥檚 Word, but because we do so together, in Christian community, surrounded by like-minded students and colleagues who share a common faith and purpose,鈥� he said.
鈥楪ifted and Godly Bible Teachers鈥�
Under Smith鈥檚 leadership, the university鈥檚 chapel program is drawing standing-room-only crowds to experience impactful speakers and heartfelt worship led by The Worship Collective student worship team.
鈥淚 am grateful that our students, staff, and faculty will have the opportunity to hear from these gifted and godly Bible teachers,鈥� Smith said.
鈥淎ugust can鈥檛 get here soon enough. There is no question about it. It鈥檚 the best part of my week,鈥� he added.

Kathy Dean uses her passion for storytelling and “playing with words” to share the stories of people, place and purpose that make the 秋霞福利一区 unique. As associate vice president for university communications, she manages media relations, edits the TorchLight alumni magazine, and oversees university communications. A former award-winning journalist, she is a two-time recipient of the Baptist Communicators Association grand prize for feature writing. Kathy and her husband, Chuck, live with three extremely loud miniature schnauzers.
